Since I started working on Kilduffs back in 1999, I always found references to the Midway Theatre in Middle River around the 1940's, but little else. Every so often, the Midway would be listed in a ad or directory, but in late 2004 I finally found a insurance map showing the location on Old Eastern Avenue, almost directory south of the site of the Hiway Theatre on Eastern Avenue. I went back in 2012 to see how the old theatre had fared, as the area has been undergoing alot of development lately. I almost missed it, but one the third pass, I found the Midway, still standing, as seen below.
