The Allen Theatre opened in 1951, twinned in the mid 1980's and closed in the 1990's. it seated just under 1,000. This is the reason Kilduff's wants to get as many pics of Maryland Theatres posted this year ( 2012 ) as possible. For years we had posted the we were working on the page, and since then, the theatre, which had been converted into a store,  burned down in 2009, with the remaining walls being razed . If anyone could spare a picture, it would be greatly appreciated and credit will be given. .................................................................................. ...............
